Excel File Path

Path to the Excel spreadsheet file containing the data that will be the source for the extract.

File Open Dialog Button

Click this button to select the source Excel file using a Windows File Open dialog window.

Excel Version

2007 (xlsx format)

2003 (xls format)

CSV Format

Use these options to specify whether the data is contained in an XLSX, XLS or CSV formatted Excel spreadsheet file.

Sheet Name

Specify the name of the Excel sheet containing the data.

Data Location

Row/Col Format

Select this option if you will specify the location of the data using Excel’s row and column format.

Start Row

End Row

Start Col

End Col

Specify the above values to locate the data on the spreadsheet.

Example:

Start Row = 1

End Row = 1001

Start Col = 1

End Col = 29

(Data contains 29 columns and 1001 rows.)

Named Range Format

Select this option to specify the location of the data using an Excel named range.

Range Name

Name of the data range.

Column Names in First Row

Select this option to specify that the first row of the data contains column names.

Preview Source Button

Click this button to open the data source and show the data on an output grid.

Use this feature to get a preliminary view of what the input data looks like.
