Fixed Length Text Output Definition Form

Use this form to modify the output fields for your extract to a fixed length text file.

You can modify the Column Name, Column Width and Value Alignment properties of the output columns.

You cannot change the Field Name. You also cannot add or remove columns. If you need to make more changes than is allowed on this form, use the Fixed Length Text Input Definition Form.

Column No.

Position of the column on the line.

Field Name

Name of the data source field.

NOTE: You cannot change this field. If you need to, see Fixed Length Text Input Definition Form.

Column Name

Name to give column in the output extract.

Column Width

Number of spaces the column will occupy in the output line.

Value Alignment

Left Justify or Right Justify the column’s value in the output.

Update Button

Click this button to apply the values in Column Name, Column Width and Value Alignment text boxes to the column list.

Accept Button

Click this button to accept the current line definition and return to the data destination form.

Calculated line length will be reflected on the data source form.

Print Button

Will send a report containing the contents of this form to a printer of your choice.

Cancel Button

Throw away current line definition edits and return to data destination form.

Page Setup

Controls how printer displays data on page. For example, Portrait or Landscape mode.

Print

You will be prompted to select a printer and then a report containing the contents of the form will be sent to the printer you choose.

Print Preview

Displays the form contents in a preview pane before sending to the printer.

Exit

Closes form.
