Filter Builder Form
Filter Builder Form
You can use this form to build the filter using prompts and drop-down lists.
Filter List at top left of form will show the currently defined components of the filter.
Filter Components
Filter No.
Position of the filter component in the filter text.
Boolean
Valid Values:
Blank
And
Or
NOTE: Do not specify a Boolean for Filter No. 1.
Aggregator
Numerical functions to apply to the field in the filter component.
Valid Values:
Blank
Count
Sum
Min
Max
Avg
Field Name
Name of field that will be filtered on.
Valid values will consist of a drop-down list of the column names in the extract data source.
Data Type
This is automatically determined when a field name is selected.
Data type will be derived from the data type of the column in the extract data source.
Comparison
Valid Values:
Compare To
Text string that represents that value being compared to in the filter.
Update Button
Posts the Filter Components values to the currently selected filter in the Filter List.
Move Selected Item Up Button
Moves up the currently selected Filter Component in the Filter List.
Use this to rearrange how the Filter Components will line up on the Filter List.
Move Selected Item Down Button
Moves down the currently selected Filter Component in the Filter List.
Use this to rearrange how the Filter Components will line up on the Filter List.
Delete Currently Selected Item Button
Removes the currently selected Filter Component in the Filter List.
Values contained in deleted component will no longer be included in the filter text.
Define New Item Button
Click this button to add a new Filter Component to the Filter List.
Clicking this button will clear the fields in the Filter Components area in the lower left portion of the form.
Accept Button
Accepts all changes to the Filter List and returns you to the Filter Definition Form.
Filter Text area of the Filter Definition Form will be updated using the Filter List.
Show SQL Button
Click this button to show a popup message containing the filter text that will be generated if the current Filter List is accepted.

Cancel Button
Cancels all changes and returns you to the Filter Definition Form.
