Data Mask Name

Unique name that identifies this random data definition.

Name will become the filename (with .xml file type appended) of the file containing the definition.

Current Year:

(Only Appears on Random Names And Locations form)

Base year to use when calculating random birth dates.

OK Button

Closes form and returns application to the Randomizer Sources Manager Form.

Save Button

Saves the definition to an external XML formatted file.

Preview Button

Generates test values based on the definition and displays them on a data grid.

Use this button to verify the definition you are using is generating the output you expect.

Num Preview Items

Determines the number of rows containing random values that will be displayed by the data grid when the Preview button is clicked.

Preview Button

Closes form and returns application to the Randomizer Sources Manager Form.

File Menu

New

Erase contents of main form.

Open

Opens a previously saved name list definition.

Closes current name list definition and clears form back to default values.

Save

Saves current form contents to an external name list definition file.

Page Setup

Controls how printer displays data on page. For example, Portrait or Landscape mode.

You will be prompted to select a printer and then a report containing the contents of the form will be sent to the printer you chose.

Print Preview

Displays the form contents in a preview pane before sending to the printer.

Delete

Shows popup form on which you can delete name list definitions.

Recent File

Displays your most recently opened files.

Exit

Closes form.

Tools Menu

Empty Recent Files List

Removes all entries in the recently opened files list.

Reload Original Request Definitions

Copies back to your current definitions list the random data request definitions that shipped with the product.

Toolbar

New

Erases current form values.

Open

Prompts you for name of a saved random names definition to load to the form.

Closes definition file and erases current form values.

Save

Saves current values on form to an external file. Name of file will be the Data Mask Name value.

A report that contains the contents of the form will be sent to the default printer. You will NOT be prompted to select a printer.

Print Preview

Displays the form contents in report format in a preview pane before sending to the printer.

Delete

Shows list from which you can select names definition files to delete.
