Change Key Password

Make sure you are at the main form.

In the Key Store section at the top of the main form:

• Click the File Open Dialog button.
• Select the local.keystore file.
• Click Open.
• At the Key Store Password Prompt that appears, type password for the password.
• Click OK to return to the main form.

See Create a New Key for steps needed to create the testkey key that will be used in this example.

In the Key section of the main form:

• Click the Get Keys button.
• Click on testkey in the Key List grid.
• Click OK.
• You are returned to the main form and the following fields have been filled in:
• UserId
• Expires
• Key Type
• Key Size
• KeyID
• Cypher
• Hash
• Compression
• Type password into the Private Key Password field.
• Type 12345678 into the New Private Key Password field.
• Click the Change Private Key Password button.
• You will see a popup message saying the password change was successful.
• If password change fails, try typing 12345678 for the Private Key Password field and password for the New Private Key Password field and click the Change Private Key Password button
